What to remember when you argue with your partner

Let’s face it. Those closest to us are the ones that know how to annoy us the most. They know exactly which buttons to push, and exactly how much they can push them.

But did you know that, subconsciously or otherwise, we seek out people who can help us to grow? Fighting and bickering and rubbing each other up the wrong way is part of the process of growth, of maturing and developing as a couple? It’s an important element of becoming stronger in our relationships.

Try not to see disagreements and irritations as indicative of a flawed relationship. Give it a positive spin and see them as opportunities to develop as a couple. You’ll find that if you change your outlook, you’ve done half to work to resolving the argument.
